2. Key Stage One

In hospital Key Stage 1 pupils (aged 6 & 7) follow the National Curriculum where approriate.

The subjects studied include Literacy and Numeracy, Science & ICT.

As work is done in small groups or one to one, there is plenty of time to keep up with work missed, to follow special interests and to develop new skills.

For longer stay pupils, the hospital teachers will discuss a programme of study with the mainstream class teacher and all the work done in hospital is taken back to school.
